Kaley Burke, Director
Kaley’s passion for eldercare advocacy is a family affair. In high school she took her first job in the kitchen of the nursing home her mother worked at and turned it into a 12-year career in aging services. Inspired by her brother Kavan Peterson’s national activism to change the long term care system, Kaley joined him to bring this culture change to the home care industry. Her experience working in nearly every level of skilled nursing administration and admissions gave her a deep understanding of the complex web of support necessary to help elders remain at home. She also experienced the challenges and rewards of providing person-directed home care when she took three months off to help care for her grandmother after a massive stroke.
Kaley earned her bachelors in communication from the University of Montana and specializes in relationship building, networking, and communication development. She embraces elders for who they are–real human beings, who deserve to be treated as such.
Kavan Peterson, President
An experienced entrepreneur and long-term care reform advocate, Kavan is dedicated to creating communities that provide for the equality, sustainability, health and well-being of people of all ages and abilities.
Combining careers as a national journalist and creative marketing and communications consultant, Kavan has worked with Fortune 500 companies, leading foundations and aging services providers to develop new products, services and campaigns. Kavan has worked on the cutting-edge of long term care culture change and person-centered care reform with internationally renowned Dr. Bill Thomas, AARP, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and The Green House Project, among others.

Kavan splits time between Seattle and Missoula, Montana, with his wife and two kids.
Jonas LaRance, Vice President
Jonas enjoys working with Kavan Peterson on valuable projects for community-based aging service organizations. He is an only child with four parents, and is therefore acutely aware that more effectively caring for our elders is one of the most important issues of our time.

He manages successful marketing and technology projects in areas including healthcare, education, natural resources, online retail, insurance, financial services, and product/technology development. He helps both start-up and well-established organizations create valuable customer experiences through effective marketing communication and user-friendly technology.
Jonas has an MBA with emphasis in entrepreneurship and marketing, and is the Marketing Technology Director at ALPS Corporation in Missoula, Montana. He and his wife are very excited about the arrival of their first child this fall.
Erin Crabtree, Care Coordinator
Harvest Care Coordinator Erin Crabtree is a Montana Native and passionate advocate for elders. She earned a Bachelors degree in psychology from Rocky Mountain College in Billings and has been working in the field of elder care for seven years. Before joining Harvest, Erin worked at Missoula Aging Services as the Long Term Care Ombudsman for Missoula County. Working with elders as Ombudsman gave her a deep understanding and appreciation of the value of supporting elders to remain engaged and age in their communities. Working as Ombudsman also gave her first hand knowledge of the urgent need to change the culture of aging and long-term care.
Erin brings love, humor, compassion and fun to the Harvest family. Her zest for the outdoors and life is infectious. If the sun is shining, Erin will be the first on the trail with her favorite companions, her two dogs.
Kristi Norton, Office Manager
Kristi is part of the Harvest family in more ways than one. She is the youngest sister to Kavan and Kaley, and brings energy, enthusiasm and organization to our team. Kristi has 15 years experience working in aging services administration in payroll, medical records, reception and more. She’s also an experienced carepartner and all-around Jack of all trades.
Kristi has an Associates degree in Business management from the University of Montana. She is a loving mother and wife, to two beautiful girls and a passionate and devoted husband. If she’s not spending time with her girls & family, you can find her on the mountain folfing, in the water swimming or baking her heart out (she makes the best cinnamon rolls in town!). Kristi was a varsity athlete in high school and still has a wicked volleyball serve. Her fun-loving spirit and playfulness are truly infections.
Shawn Bennett, Care Specialist
Shawn credits the elders he’s been privileged to work with as a Life Enrichment director in an assisted living in helping him discover and cultivate a talent for bringing play and spontaneity into people’s lives. His passion for life and fun inspires the best out of those around him. Shawn has worked in elder care for four years and is thrilled to expand his knowledge and experience learning from people living with dementia as a Harvest carepartner and dementia coach.
Shawn’s compassion and ability to be present has changed the lives of many people he works with. He has a spirit that can move mountains. In fact, his favorite place to be is high on the mountain ridges where he is truly free.
